The Palms of Largo campus offers several programs that help individuals fight back against Parkinson’s disease, including the Tremble Clefs, Rock Steady Boxing, and support groups. We strive to offer opportunities that may benefit individuals living with varying stages of Parkinson’s, lessen symptoms and lead to a healthier life.
The Palms of Largo offers Rock Steady Boxing classes, an affiliate program of Rock Steady Boxing, Inc., for individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Classes are taught by Rock Steady Boxing Certified Coaches and include an exercise program that is designed to improve quality of life through non-contact boxing-based fitness curriculum. Workouts focus on overall fitness, strength training, reaction time and balance.
The Tremble Clefs is a nationally recognized singing program for those with Parkinson’s disease. This group therapy program addresses voice symptoms, like breathing, volume, pitch, range, stretching, posture, rhythm, and movement. We are excited to offer this opportunity at The Palms of Largo, complementing our current and robust Parkinson’s programming.
